"The Foundation of Botanical Printing" is a 2 day in depth workshop on sustainable eco-printing.

Have you been interested in learning eco-printing, but unsure on where to start or not
getting the results you were hoping for?
Join Sammy from Ciganka Art Forms from Nature and Gabrielle from Alkimia Botanical,
for a 2 day comprehensive workshop, as they collaborate to bring you years of
experience and combined knowledge, covering everything you need to know about the
art of sustainable practice in eco dyeing.
In this 2 day workshop, you will learn the foundations of eco-printing. We will wander
and mindfully gather wind fallen leaves at the stunning Maroochy Botanical Gardens on
the Sunshine Coast and learn how to successfully print on paper and cloth. You will
learn the non toxic way to make and mordant your fibres, bundle in many different ways
to produce marks, taking home an array of results on paper, cellulose and protein fibres
with a booklet outlining the whole process. You will end the workshop with your new
found knowledge, creating a wool scarf as a wearable remembrance of your time with
us, plus all the handy hints in between to sustain you on your eco-dyeing journey.
